The Beauty of Wyckoff Trading

Many times throughout the trading week, we can see the beauty of Wyckoff Trading.  Setups occur that most traders are unaware of, don’t require expensive and confusing indicators, and set up in such a way that the the risk is lessened.  It really is a beautiful way to trade.

The Beauty of Wyckoff Trading: Traders Unaware of Setups

Many traders are unaware of the setups that occur with the Wyckoff Trading Method.  It’s too bad, because they really miss out.  Friday gave an excellent example of this, setting up a perfect short very close to the high of the day.

Many traders would be buying the drive up on Friday morning.  They are totally unaware of the short sale setup that occurs.  We pay attention to daily highs and lows in intraday trading.  It is one of the best locations for trades to set up.  As in here, we get an upthrust of the 5-day high.  Nice!

The Beauty of Wyckoff Trading: No Expensive Indicators

It’s just price and volume.  It’s all we use.  That doesn’t mean it is easy to do.  There is a fair amount of learning that goes into any trading method, and the Wyckoff trading method is no different.  Once you learn it, you are set for as long as you want to trade and the markets are freely traded.  You don’t need anything else.

The Beauty of Wyckoff Trading: Less Risk

As you can see from the chart, the high was made right near entry.  We know that if the market is going down, it will go from this point.  We also know that if we are wrong, our stop is close, near the high.  So if we are wrong, the cost isn’t that great.  This is a hallmark of the Wyckoff Trading Method: we get in near the “danger point.”   If we are wrong, we know quickly and without a lot of pain.  Of course, you can see the results when the market is poises, as it is here, to have a decent move.
