This is part 4 of the Ultimate Wyckoff Teaching Series.
Here Dr. Gary takes you through the key teaching of Tom Williams’s excellent book, The Undeclared Secrets that Drive the Stock Market. Tom’s book is one of the very best technical trading books on adapting the classic work of Richard Wyckoff to today’s markets. Tom would often say, “When supply (or demand) comes into the market, it doesn’t just go away.” Tom shows precisely how to read the presence of supply or demand that occurred in the recent past and will influence current price. Few traders know how to see this, but what an edge it provides when you can see it! Dr. Gary details how Tom approached the markets, and how he used the Wyckoff principles to effectively trade the markets. Tom approached Wyckoff a little differently from David Weis. Tom emphasized background and what happened in the recent past and how that will likely affect coming price action. This is really useful, as it helps complete the picture, giving you a deep understanding of what’s actually happening and the confidence to pull the trigger when other traders are trying to figure out whether to go short or long. Dr Gary brings alive Tom’s approach and explains how to utilize the principles behind Wyckoff’s work and make effective trades with this method.
The series also include the teaching of other Wyckoff classic works:
- Richard Wyckoff’s Case History of the New York Time Average of 50 Stocks in 1930-31
- David Weis’s book: Trades About to Happen
- David Weis’s 2 chapters on bond futures in the book: Chartng the Market: the Wyckoff Method
