Hurricane Sandy is over. We faired OK. It came in yesterday mid-day and stayed with us all day and throughout most of the night. Very big winds and rain here; the trees were bending and the rains came in sideways. We lost power yesterday afternoon, which we expected. Fortunately, our generator worked well and we were fine. Power was restored this morning, though some of our friends are still without. We experienced no major damage to our property – just a lot of branches on the ground and lots of wet leaves to clean up. Not a big deal.
Helen and I live inland, so the winds, although still quite strong, aren’t as forceful as living along the coastline. For us, it’s mostly downed trees and power lines. Along the coast, the winds push the water onshore and create a storm surge at high tide. This creates lots of flooding and serious home damage along the shoreline. You can see some of the aftereffects in the images below, including shoreline images. This is very typical for a hurricane in our area.
But we are OK. Thanks to everyone who sent emails wishing us well. They were much appreciated!

Great. I would certainly order that book. You contribute a lion part of Wyckoff teaching to the investment and trading world in this century. The trading and investment market is a mysterious and often misleading thing, it creates doubts to traders and investors. Fortunately, with your teaching, everyone can understand how the market work logically and get a better chance to profitable trades. I would order more of your tutorials once I collect enough money.
