Recently, I was in a live trading event trading the S&P e-minis. As always, I prepared for trading the night before. My nightly analysis indicated that I should look to play to the short side once the market rose and hit a higher level. In the overnight Globex market, the S&Ps rallied, but not all the way up to the level I was anticipating. Price action then stalled just before the US open. I thought, “OK, maybe the market is a bit weaker than my analysis suggests. No big deal. I’ll look for a short opportunity in this area.”
